Kate and Alex’s Cottage Wedding in Sundridge, Ontario

It was a beautiful July day when I arrived in Sundridge to capture Kate and Alex’s cottage wedding. I started at an AirBnb with the boys around noon.

After an hour or so with the boys, I headed over to capture the bride getting ready at her family cottage. She also did a touching first look with her father.

Next, it was time for the couple’s first look on the dock. They wanted this to be a private moment just for them, so I’ll skip right to the couple photos that followed!

One of the benefits of doing a first look is that you can get the bulk of your group photos done before the ceremony, that way you can enjoy your cocktail hour with your guests. So we continued on with wedding party photos before the ceremony.

At 4pm, their romantic ceremony began under a big beautiful tent on the cottage lawn.

After they popped the champagne with their wedding party, the couple joined their cocktail hour before beginning the reception around 6pm.

Once dinner and speeches concluded, it was time for my favourite part of the night: the couple’s first dance and parent dances out on the dock at dusk.

By 8pm, my time with the bride and groom came to an end. Thank you so much to Kate and Alex for having me! And a shoutout to my fellow wedding vendors for the day:
